As we waited patiently her soundcheck wafted through the trees and I was intrigued to hear two songs I hadn't heard before. Excitement rose at 4.25pm as Russell Watson swept by in a white Range Rover but he was to make a far grander entrance later on.

The Orchestra d'Amici, conductor William Hayward got the concert underway with Handel's Water Music then the setlist varied from the programme as Merseysider Emer McParland gave us "Goldfinger" and a song dear to her heart "Let it be." Then Camilla came on and I was interested to see her wardrobe was the same as for the Bournemouth concert (silver top and white dress in the first half, red dress in the second). From my fourth row seat I had my binoculars trained on her but for some reason they kept steaming up. Must have been the cold night air ! She started with "How Can I keep from singing ?" then a tantalising preview of her second album with the mesmerising "Sleep Song". A second number from her new album followed in "Cantero" which Camilla explained was her mum's favourite track. I'd have to agree with Mrs Kerslake. This song has a very memorable melody. Deborah was again in the audience and her prodigious daughter asked her to wave but I'm not sure whether she did. Camilla has a very engaging stage presence and her child-like enthusiasm is very infectious. Two happy thoughts entered my head: If the new album is anything like the two samples we heard then it will be something to treasure, like its creator. Also, Camilla's parents appear to live in southern England meaning further concerts in this area will be forthcoming. The Rodillian Singers then took over with a medley including Enja's "May it be" (which I've never heard arranged for choir before) and the uplifting "Bridge over troubled water."

The grandest entrance of the night was made by Russell Watson, in a 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost driven by none other than Lord Montagu himself, straight fromhis museum. Russell started with a favourite "O sole mio. For those of us who thought "The Voice" might not be the same after the illness I'm pleased to report he's still got it and on this evidence it's better than ever. Russell is one of the most relaxed stage performers I've ever seen, waving to fans, posing for photos and exchanging banter mid-song. "Panis Angelicus" followed then the theme from "The Godfather." Russell explained his new live album will be a collaboration with Ennio Morricone. (The Italian composer is having a busy Summer since he is also working on an album with Hayley Westenra ). Russell the closed the first half with "Music of the night."

Camilla's second half set was from her first album, "She moved throught the fair" (first played by Wogan on Radio 2 she explained), "Pie Jesu" and her signature piece "Rule the world" in which she clearly enjoyed demonstarting the power of her voice in the final crescendo. Then it was audience participation time as Russell conducted us in "Volare",. There was an orchestral interlude with "Carmen" before Russell showed he is equally adept at standards like "I can't help falling in love " and "Strangers in the night". The biggest cheer of the night was reserved for "Nessun Dorma", encored of course before Russell was joined by Emer and Camilla for "Rule Britannia" and "Land of hope and glory."

"I want a flag !" exclaimed Camilla as she saw most of us had them to wave and a steward obliged with flags for each of the three singers. So the fourth and last concert of the Glorious Noise Tour was brought to a rousing finale with a well deserved standing ovation for all concerned. All four concerts had enjoyed dry weather and hopefully helped to raise much needed funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Concert photos should be available in due course at muscular-dystrophy.org.

Luckily the rain had relented by the time her black Range Rover drew up to the stage door at 4.45pm. There's no doubt up close Camilla is an extremely beautiful young woman (a bit smaller than I'd imagined) and maybe some of her male fans are not seeing much beyond her blonde hair and red lips. But unlike some of her peers she really sounds as beautiful as she looks.

At a time when Catholic priests in Ireland aren't always getting a good press, Fathers Martin, Eugene and David did much to restore the balance and were certainly genial hosts at last night's concert and well-received by a sell-out audience. But with the greatest of respect to them, I'll concern myself solely with Camilla. She came onto the stage in a shimmering white dress and silver top to join the Priests in Cesar Frank's moving "Panis Angelicus." The audience instantly warmed to her as she told us how her father had been pleased when he heard she was touring with three priests ! She then performed two solo numbers: "Rain" (very apt) and then the beautiful "How can I keep from singing" which she dedicated to her parents who were in the audience last night.

In the second half she reappeared in a flame red dress (it'll look good in my photo!) and sang "She moved through the fair" which she dedicated to the fathers and her signature song "Rule the World" which raised the roof with that soaring final note.

Afterwards four of us gathered at the stage door only to be told by an usherette that Camilla had joined the Priests for a signing session in the foyer ! I waited till last to ask her for a photo. My sincere thanks to Graham for his photographic assistance. After signing my CD sleeve Camilla told me I was very bad giving her chocolate earlier because she had already eaten it ! No-one it seems can make a bag of creme eggs disappear faster than Camilla !! She told us she'd be appearing in "Les Mis" in July at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London then she left to begin the long journey north to Manchester, stopping overnight on the way. All in all, a concert to treasure that will live long in the memory. Gary Barlow always said she'd fly and last night in Bournemouth, she did.

Every seat was taken and the front office and bar staff squeezed in behind the back row of the upper circle to share the evening. Camilla sang:

I was lucky enough to see Camilla on Monday evening at the Hammersmith Apollo in London as she supported the pop-opera group Il Divo on their Christmas leg of their very short Christmas show tour which includes London and New York. Camilla was just supporting them in London along with Vanessa May....and what can I say other than she was FANTASTIC!

I have photos, which I'll upload into this thread and share with you....but she was quite simply brilliant and I can understand how Gary Barlow was blown away after hearing her sing live.

She did sang 'Do you hear what I hear' with Il Divo and to say that she was singing with 4 very big voices she certainly held her own and sounded wonderful...she then went on to sing 3 Christmas songs on her own. She seemed a little nervous...the crowd was very much an Il Divo audience...but she was very well received...and even though at times seemed a little overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the concert...she certainly made an impression with the Il Divo audience.

If you read this Camilla....well done....you were fantastic and we all commented how beautiful you looked in that stunning red dress!

Take care

I'm a massive Gary fan as the name suggests but I was lucky enough to hear Camilla sing at the launch showcase. She was amazing, completely held the audience spellbound and then looked like she couldn't believe the applause she was getting. She is a really lovely person too and as stunningly pretty as she looks in the photos.
